We would like to provide some information regarding the air scrubbers within the buildings, these units were purchased and installed by JCI (Johnson Controls).  As part of the purchase and installation,  the District also entered into a maintenance agreement for these units.  They are serviced quarterly.  The service includes the following.

  • Quarterly replacement of Merv-8 Antimicrobial Filter
  • Quarterly cleaning and inspection of UV light
  • Quarterly verification of unit CFM to maintain air changes
  • Annual replacement of the UV light based on run time
  • Disposal of filters and UV lights.

The air scrubbers need to be plugged into the “Bert” plugs on the receptacles.  These plugs control when the units operate and record the length of time they are running.  This information helps us to better service and maintain the air scrubbers.  This also prevents them from turning on the motion activated lights overnight and on weekends.

Please do not unplug or move the air scrubbers on your own.  If you need them relocated within your space, place a work order request into FMX.  The controllers often times need to be reprogrammed if it is unplugged and relocated due to its memory length when not connected to a power source.
