The Office of Community Relations will publicize the District’s summer hours throughout the community.

Dates

Summer hours will begin the week of June 17 and continue through the week of August 5-9. We will return to our regular hours on Monday, August 12.

Summer Hours

Departments have the choice of the following options:

  • Work five (5) 8 hour days.
  • Work four (4) 10 hour days and have the Friday of that week off. Your scheduled hours must fall between 6:30a.m. – 5:30p.m.
  • Work four (4) 9 hours days and work a half day the Friday of that week.

Please note:  Department Leaders are responsible to communicate what options are available to their team members.

The District will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday.  The week of July 4th will remain a regular summer work week within the options noted above.

Benefit Days

Vacation must be taken in full or half day increments regardless of the schedule worked.

Please note that any adjustments to your work schedule due to extenuating circumstances must be approved in advance by your supervisor.

Summer Attire

Please be advised that beginning on Monday, June 17, you may wear summer business casual attire.  All employees must ensure your attire is appropriate.  Please be mindful that you represent the School District of Lancaster and dress accordingly.  Be sure to check your calendar in advance for meetings or events that may require more appropriate attire.
