Synergy Updates

Synergy Browser Compatibility

Synergy no longer supports the use of Internet Explorer. While Chrome has always been the preferred browser, some users have been experiencing issues when accessing Synergy through Internet Explorer.

Incident Referral Location Added

To accommodate distance learning and referral documentation, a new location of “Offsite – Virtual Learning” has been added in Synergy. End users also have the option of choosing “Internet/Online” for any incidents taking place during Zoom session or in online platforms.

Schedule Changes/Schoology Ungraded Assignments

We have been made aware that work, that hasn’t been graded in Schoology, is getting deleted when students are moved from courses. We are asking Schoology for an enhancement where that work gets placed into a “holding” area for the teacher to grade, even though the student is no longer in that course/section. We wanted to make sure we communicate this out as those making scheduling changes may not be aware of this, and teachers may not know when scheduling changes are taking place. We will keep everyone posted with Schoology’s response to our enhancement request.

Synergy Mobile Apps

As a reminder, several mobile apps are available for end users that may be beneficial during this time. For examples, teachers may be able to use the TeacherVUE app to take attendance on an iPad while a Zoom is in session on the laptop.
