In January 2021, the district kicked off an initiative to increase parent/guardian engagement through ParentVUE, Synergy’s parent portal. To continue that work, we will be providing monthly updates on the following items:

• Percentage of parents/guardians who are actively logging into ParentVUE (within last 30 days)
• Tips and information on how the data entered into Synergy can assist in parents/guardians staying connected to their child’s academic success

Percent of Active Logins between 11/1/2021 – 12/1/2021: 17.8%

Grading Missing Assignments

When grading assignments in TeacherVUE, teachers are encouraged to utilize the ‘missing’ comment. This can be done by typing “MIS” as the score for a student. Synergy will assign a point value of zero to the student, as well as the comment of “missing”.

Teachers using Schoology to grade assignments can utilize this functionality as well! Simply use the ‘missing assignment’ functionality in Schoology’s grade book and it will integrate into the TeacherVUE grade book.

This comment clearly translates into ParentVUE (and StudentVUE), indicating which assignments are missing.
