Entering Transportation Requisitions

Published on November 1, 2023 in Office of Business and Operations

Please ensure that the following details are included when submitting transportation requisitions or purchase orders for busing services, all of which are coordinated through Shultz for the School District of Lancaster:

  • Date of the trip
  • Time and location for pick-up and the return pick-up time
    • For example, “8:30 AM at McCaskey East, by the flagpole or front door.”
    • Drop-off location and designated pick-up spot
  • Specify if the driver or bus is needed for the entire day, particularly for local runs.
  • Indicate the total number of passengers, distinguishing between students, adults, and staff.
  • If extra space is required for items such as coolers, instruments, bags, etc.
  • State the purpose of the trip, including the destination.
  • If the bus is intended for parents or other individuals, please provide the reason for this.

Please note that it is essential to enter a requisition in Munis and have it approved by the building department at least 2-3 weeks in advance for any transportation request through Shultz. If you need to cancel transportation, please do so at least two days in advance. In case you require last-minute transportation for a week or less, contact the transportation department and promptly enter a requisition in Munis as soon as transportation confirms that Shultz can accommodate the last-minute request. It is crucial to plan your transportation needs as early as possible because Shultz cannot guarantee availability for requests made with less than a two-week notice. Requesting a quote through FMX does not secure or book transportation with Shultz; it is solely an estimate of pricing. Shultz will confirm and book the transportation once they receive the purchase order.
